THE FOUNDERS

The man behind Monolit is Dieter Bergmann. He makes a living as a pilot, but he is also an inventor and a motorcycle enthusiast. He has, among other things, built one of the world’s lightest motorcycles – with carbon fiber. The story of Monolit started when his son Oskar was having problems with eczema from conventional shin guards. Dieter realized that he could apply his expertise in composite materials to create a much improved shin guard, one that was lighter and stronger, as well as providing better ventilation.

OUR PRODUCTS

Monolit is made from carbon fiber and, unlike conventional shin guards, spreads the force from an impact over the entire protection area, which means you can engage in some serious tackling without worries.
Our shin guards cool down your legs. This is done by means of a minimal contact surface and through ventilation that carries away humidity and heat. Better cooling means less energy wasted and more stamina. Your shins will be eternally grateful to us.
The protective edge of the shin guard is shock absorbing and has also been developed for optimal fit, for increased ventilation, and for reducing bacterial growth. The unique construction helps you avoid build-up of sweat, unpleasant odors, and the risk of eczema.
Monolit is one of the lightest shin guards in the world. The unique material and design has enabled us to bring the weight down below 40 grams per shin guard. Spread over an entire match, this can spare you a ton of extra weight. We can promise you that less weight will give you more speed and stamina in a match.
Monolit shin guards are designed to do their job just as well on your left as on your right leg. You can strap them on quickly without having to think about which one goes where. We call it Equilateral Fit.
Monolit is made from carbon fiber composite, a mixture of carbon fiber and epoxy, resulting in a remarkably tough and light construction.

USER INFORMATION

Monolit are made of a carbon fiber composite, a very advanced and strong material with perfect properties for this application. In spite of these properties the shin guards must be handled with care when not in use. Do not bend the shin guards as the carbon fibers could be damaged.

The shin guards are to be used for soccer only. The special design and construction give maximum protection against kicks and hard blows that can occur during soccer games or practice.

Please note that even though shin guards are used, injuries may occur. Monolit take no responsibility for damages of any kind.

Please check that the shin guards have a tight fit to the leg. The shin guards are to be placed in front of the lower shin and inside the sock. The design makes it possible to use it with a regular soccer sock with good elasticity. The shin guard must not be loose under the sock when the player is moving. In order to get tighter fixation of the shin guard it is possible to use tape. However, when using tape be aware of the importance of free blood circulation, and do not put the tape too tight around the leg. Make sure the tape doesn't cover the air inlet of the shin guard. Also be careful not to damage the soft edge with the tape.

ORDERING

What payment options do I have?

All prices are in local currency and include local VAT. We offer different payment options via Shopify Payments that can vary from country to country.

How do I know if my order is registered?

An email will be sent automatically to the email address you provided when ordering. If there is a problem with your order, our customer service will contact you.

Can I cancel my order once it has been placed?

You can send an e-mail to our customer service at info@monolitsports.com if you wish to cancel the order. If your order is packed and sent, we can unfortunately not cancel the order. You can then use the right of withdrawal when you receive the shipment. See the points below regarding returns and exchange.

I have questions about ordering in the web shop. Where can I get answers?

Please send an e-mail to us at info@monolitsports.com. You will receive an answer within 24-48 hours on weekdays (Monday-Friday).

Do I have to pay customs duties for an order made to Norway?

You do not need to pay customs duties, in Norway the seller is KMP Online AB, Norwegian branch (922 713 952MVA). This means you don't have to pay customs duty either when ordering or returning.

SHIPPING AND TRACKING

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship to Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Belgium, Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Greece, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. If it is not possible for you tobuy, it might be because we do not ship to your market. Please contact customer service at info@monolitsports.com to find out.

How much is the freight cost?

We have free freight on all deliveries.

What delivery times do you have?

SWEDEN AND INTERNATIONAL
All our products are safely and quickly shipped with Postnord. Orders are processed Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 3 PM CEST, excluding major holidays, and are usually shipped 1-2 working days from when an order is placed. Delivery time is usually 1-7 working days but may differ depending on the country of destination. The tracking number will be sent to you by email. If you haven’t gotten an email within 4 working days from the time you placed your order please contact info@monolitsports.com.

NORWAY
All our products are safely and quickly shipped with Bring. Orders to Norway are processed on Tuesdays and Fridays. Your order has to be received by us before Monday at 11 a.m. to be included in Tuesday’s shipping, or Thursday at 11 a.m. to be included in Friday’s shipping. Excluding major holidays! When the order has been sent from our warehouse, an e-mail with delivery confirmation will be sent to your specified e-mail address. The package should reach you within 4-7 working days, depending on where you live in Norway. If you haven’t received the delivery within 7 working days, please contact our customer service at info@monolitsports.com. We can’t guarantee delivery within the specified time, but we do our best. Please keep in mind that your tracking number is only updated after the shipment has arrived at Bring's terminal in Oslo, Norway.

Can I choose home delivery in Norway?

All our orders to Norway are sent with Bring and in connection with Bring’s notification, you have the opportunity to redirect your package and choose home delivery. When choosing a home delivery, there is an additional cost that must be paid directly to Bring. You as a customer must bear this cost and it is not refundable upon return! The price for redirection is controlled when you as the recipient choose to redirect the package, and the prices for home delivery redirection are:
57 NOK when ordering the redirection the same day you receive the message. 89 NOK when ordering the redirection after this. 42 NOK for each additional package sent together from the same sender.

What if my shipment has been damaged?

It shouldn’t happen but sadly sometimes packages are lost, stolen, or damaged. We take responsibility for products that are damaged or lost during delivery to you.

Via Postnord: If you discover that the item you receive is damaged in transport, or if you discover that an item is missing due to packaging damaged in transport, you must make a complaint within 24 hours of receiving the package if it is a visible damage. It is therefore important that you check your shipment when receiving it so that it is not damaged in transport. Please make a complaint no later than 24 hours after receiving the package directly via Postnord's website https://portal.postnord.com/claimspublic/. Then contact our customer service at info@monolitsports.com and enter your case number that you received via Postnord's website to us, and we will take your case further with Postnord. Please keep postal and product packaging in the event of transport damage.

Via Bring (Norway only): If you discover that the item you receive is damaged during transport, you must make a complaint as soon as possible. It is important that you check your shipment when receiving it to detect any transport damage. You must report any transport damage directly to the delivery point or to the post driver, so that they can register that the package has been damaged during transport. Then contact our customer service at info@monolitsports.comand tell us what has happened, which products are missing or damaged and take pictures and we will take it further with Bring. Please keep postal and product packaging in the event of transport damage.

How do I track my order?

Once we have dispatched the order from the warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing the tracking number. To track your order, paste your order number here: SWEDEN & INTERNATIONAL: https://www.postnord.se/en/our-tools/track-and-trace

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

The short version of our return policy:

You can return the product within 30 days of delivery.

The product must be in new condition with the tags attached.

Want to change to another size? Return the product for a refund and order a new one.

Did you get the wrong item or is it damaged? Contact us and we'll sort it out.

How much is the return cost?

We have free returns. A prepaid return shipping label is included in the package together with your products, please follow the instructions that are included in the package when you make a return.

How can I return a product?

If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase – return the products within 30 days.

A delivery note with return information and a return shipping label are included in the package together with your products. Fill out your details and put it in the package together with the item you are going to return and place the return shipping label on the package. Please use the same bag in which you received the products, as it can be resealed and thus minimize the environmental impact. If you live in Norway, please see answer further below.

Note: For returns please keep in mind that you can only drop off your return at a checkpoint that provides Postnord. Please always ask for a receipt of proof after dropping off your return at a checkpoint. Returned items must be in new condition with original packaging and tags. Please avoid wearing perfume or deodorant that could leave marks or scent on the product while trying it on. We won’t be able to accept the return where these instructions have not been followed.

How can I return a product from Norway?

A delivery note with return information is included in the package together with your products. Fill out your details and put them in the package together with the product you are going to return. Before sending back the product, please contact us by e-mail at info@monolitsports.com and state the order number and which items are to be returned, what size and number of items to be returned. After that, we will send you a return shipping label via e-mail which you can print out and then place the return shipping label on top of the package and drop it off by the Bring checkpoint.

What do I do if I did not receive a prepaid return shipping label or return note?

If you by chance did not receive a return shipping label or return note in your package, please contact customer service and we will help you. We do not stand accountable if you as a customer decide to NOT use the return shipping label made by us when returning your package. Products returned by cash on delivery are not approved by us. Upon approved return, a refund will be made as soon as possible. Refund will be paid to the same payment method you used for purchase.

When will my return be refunded?

From the time we receive your return, it can take up to 14 working days for a refund to be issued, but we do our best to process each return as soon as we can. You will receive an email confirming that your return has been processed.

The refund will be made to the same payment method you used for the original order. It generally takes between 2-5 working days until the money is refunded. If you have chosen to pay by invoice, we recommend that you pay the invoice or contact Klarna to extend the payment time, to avoid the risk of unnecessary reminder fees.

Sometimes a return can be registered in different batches and it then takes up to 48 hours before your return is fully completed. In this case, you may receive two or more return confirmations.

Want to switch to another size?

Fill out the form included in the package as with any return and place a new order with the preferred item. If you have bought a discounted item and want to change size, please send us an e-mail before you place your new order and we will help you. We do not have the opportunity to credit discounts afterwards on existing orders.

What if I have received a faulty item?

If the product is faulty, please contact us by e-mail at info@monolitsports.com and include the order number, pictures, and a short description explaining the fault and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We will send out a new return label for you to use if your reclaim gets approved. We do not approve products that are damaged as a result of daily use or products not purchased at our web shop.
